  • June 2009

    This year's Long Night of Sciences in Berlin and Potsdam will take place on June, 13th. In collaboration with Europarc Germany the GoBi-Project will give an insight into its current research projects and presenting the concept of biosphere reserves. Everyone who is interested is invited to participate for information in the Atrium Friedrichstraße from 5 pm to 1 am.

  • January 2009

    The project Societal processes for the reconciliation of nature conservation and sustainable use: Comparative analysis in three German biosphere reserves regarding active adaptive management" was accepted for funding by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt DBU. This research project with a fund of 200.000 Euro constitutes the commencement of C-BRA's research activities for biosphere reserves. For a project description see here.

    GoBi's research on the integration of local people as key to success for protected areas was mentioned in Spiegel Online that reported on the conference at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
